Robert
Plant and Sally Hayward at his home in Wales. Sally is his cousin
and was a big fan of 'The White'. Sally took some pictures of
'The White' at Knott's Berry farm with her to England, in 1981,
to show Robert. Sally told me that Robert was very flattered and
impressed. One of the photos was of me with a dove in my hand
that he thought was great!. He gave her a note to give to me.
It said simply, "To Michael, Happy Blouses!, Robert Plant".
Sally published this story in her Led Zeppelin fanzine called
'The Rover' that was quite popular in Southern California, in
the early to mid 1980's. She also created an exact copy of the
white dragon suit that Jimmy Page wore. She gave this suit to
us and Phil wore it at our shows for years. I lost contact with
her many years ago. Thank you Sally, wherever you are.
