I discovered Lanny when he was 17 years old living in Cyprus, California with his family. He used to come into my studio to rehearse with his band and I stole him away when they broke up. I knew he was a phenomenal talent and would go far with his music. I enjoyed the time we had playing together in The White when we were all original (1978-79). We played the 'Whisky a-go go', Starwood, and Troubadour to name a few of the clubs. I have many tapes of our reheasals and gigs. Maybe some of them will see the light of day sometime when I get a chance to clean them up.
